Riverside Resort & Conference Centre - Team Bonding Packages

This is not your typical scavenger hunt, this is a team hunt. You are paired up with a partner and are sent off into 35 acres of wilderness at the Riverside Resort & Conference Centre. This exercise is designed to rejuvenate a group, and add a bit of old fashioned fun! Pairing up people can be done casually, or it can be strategically.

Purpose of Team Mactaquac Treasure Hunt:

To break a larger team up into two smaller teams to work on a certain project, you can strategically pair people up that have had challenges or those who have potential opportunities by bringing them together to problem solve and have some fun together.

We will design the Treasure Hunt based on your groups needs, whether it be just to have fun or if you would prefer something more strategic. This is preferred as outdoor activity however can also be completed indoors if the weather is inclement or in off season months. The duration of this hunt is approximately one hour.

Please note that all supplies for the hunt are included as well as your host.

Haunted Evening Walk

This evening enchanted walk is bone chilling for any group! Your group ventures into the wooded forest along the banks of the Mactaquac Head pond, amidst the fog and the howling owls. You and your team will experience the history of the village and, on your way, don’t be surprised if you come across the late lady in white.

Purpose of the Haunted Evening Walk:

This group activity takes about 1 hour and is a wonderful evening event to get your guests adventuring along the trails at the Riverside Resort & Conference Centre. We promise a lot of giggles, frights, and ghoulish noises. This event will show your team how important it is to support each other and stick together …because you never know what will happen if you leave someone behind.

We have a standard haunted walk from which we will incorporate various information that your group has provide to us in our haunted storey line. This ensures an interactive team event that is sure to catch the group by surprise.

The walk in full is 1 hour in length. All supplies are provided for this even.

Corporate Idol

Considering we have our very own Canadian Idol just down the road in Mactaquac Country, we thought this one was appropriate and fun!

Purpose of Corporate Idol:

To be totally silly with your team
To bring out the creativity in all of your members
To practice group problem solving
To learn new communication skills
To share different techniques of Networking

This exercise is perfect if you are looking for a late afternoon activity or an evening activity with your group or conference. The group is divided into different performance teams; each team will receive all of the appropriate supplies: Flip chart, markers, a CD player and CD. The team then goes off to a secluded area of choice and starts writing their own lyrics to the music provided. They then write out their lyrics on their flip chart and get ready to perform. The catch is that the lyrics must be about a specific topic discussed at your meeting or something that is going on at work.

They are also provided with a prop box that they will be able to use to enhance their performance...This is a day that everyone will be talking about for years to come!

On the Cat Walk

Paris Hilton look out we have the newest “Big City Models” to hit the Runways of Mactaquac, New Brunswick.

Purpose of On the Cat Walk:

On the Cat Walk is purely for fun!! We set up a run way divide you up into small teams and you will be performing your very own corporate fashion show... props will be provided, and some will need to be made. You can have a themed fashion show, or just a silly costume fashion show. Either way, they are both a blast!

We will provide you with a fashion coordinator, our tickle trunk of costumes, craft supplies to make some of your props, music, stage, and of course, the announcer.

Hot Cha-cha Chili Cook-Off

A fun, tasty way to have lunch?

Purpose of the Hot Cha-Cha Chili Cook-off:

This team building even is fantastic and it works really great with a tight schedule when you don’t have the time to add in fun ice breakers or other team building games. There is no standard recipe for chili, and this proves it! We will supply your corporate chefs with all of the appropriate ingredients to prepare their best chili ever. Your very own chefs will be decked out with aprons, chef hats with your company logo along with all of the ingredients to make their very own lunch. One of our very own Chefs will be the coach for this event.

This is guaranteed to be a fun and yummy lunch!

An award is presented to the team with the “yummiest” chili too.

Planning an evening of dinner with friends or co workers…want to take your mind off of reality? How about playing dress up and trying to figure out who done it?? You give us the invite list and we send out the invitations, with character information. Your guests arrive and the fun begins. We will facilitate the entire evening. All you need to do is show up and play.

Our Progressive Dinner

Looking for something different that the typical banquet dinner with your group or party? How about a fabulous meal with a unique combination of Creativity, liveliness and teambuilding!

The Purpose of a Progressive Dinner:

Energize your team
Great welcome dinner
Encourage networking and teambuilding

The evening will start off with a really fun cocktail game in our foyer, with a “get to know you” ice breaker for the entire group in a non threatening environment. You will then enter our main ball room for appetizers, then move to a different table with different guests for your salad, move to another table for your main entrée and another for dessert. Each table will, feature a table top game to get everyone laughing and getting to know each other. Depending on the size of your group, each guest will be able to participate, and interact and tell stories with as many as 40 new people.

We can host this event outdoors, on one of our patios in the restaurant or in our main ball room.

Want to really make it special?

Shake it up and arrange to have each course in a different part of the hotel. Choose a theme for your dinner and décor of the room. Ask us about our in house MC or table hosts.

The Luxurious Limo Hunt

Looking to have an event that get you out of the hotel and is a total blast! This fun filled night will be a competition full of style champagne included.

The purpose of the Luxurious Limo Hunt:

Your group is divided up into teams where you are given the challenge of racing to the finish as a team. Your teams will race against each in style to accomplish a challenging list of items on the hunt. You will be armed with your own limo driver, a bottle of champagne, a Polaroid and a list of crazy tasks to be accomplished. At the end of this adventure, both teams will come back to the hotel in high spirits and ready to share the many stories of the race. As an added bonus, you will have lots of photos to hang up in the company water cooler room. This activity can accommodate a minimum of 6 people (two teams of 3) to a maximum of 18 people (three teams of 6.)

Indoor Teambuilding

At the Holiday Inn we promote a lot of our outdoor resources, however equally we have some super indoor resources to create fun activities. This is great especially if you are concerned about inclement weather.

We will spend two hours of action packed time with your group, completing large or small group exercises that ensure creativity, out of the box thinking strategies, problem solving and lots of giggles.

Appreciative “Team Bonding”

Look out Dr. Phil!!! The Riverside Resort & Conference Centre has developed a teambuilding session to make everyone feel good.

Purpose of an Appreciative “Team Bonding” Session:

This type of team bonding will assist your group with their EQ (Emotional Intelligence.) Simply put, this is the dimension of intelligence responsible for managing ourselves as well as our relationships with each other.

These exercises will build self awareness and may take some participants out of their comfort zone. This activity will ensure that everyone in the group leaves feeling important.

We have pre-designed these activities to ensure that all participants leave with a feeling of true appreciation for what they do and for what their group is responsible for.

This session runs for 1 hour and all supplies are provided. The only thing your team will need to bring is an open mind.
